The Math4U portal is designed for students to assist with their homework, for teachers to create assignments, interactive tests, and examinations, and for entire classes to engage in both collaborative and independent practice.
The portal comprises five main sections: STUDENT, TEACHER, CLASS, TRAINING GAMES, and APPLICATION EXAMPLES. To access the TEACHER section, you will need to create an account; all other sections are accessible without logging in.
A common feature throughout all sections is multilingual support, with high school mathematics divided into 12 thematic topics, further broken down into 56 subtopics. All content is available in Czech, English, Spanish, Slovak, and Polish.
Student
The Student section is designed primarily for high school students to practice math online. Here, you can create a customized test based on your preferences. Two apps are available, fully functional on computers, tablets, and smartphones. Choose your language, topic, and the number of questions, and get an online test tailored to your needs. You’ll receive feedback immediately after answering each question and a detailed summary, including both textual and graphical evaluations, once you complete the test.
The Math4Student app offers a database of 6,000 questions, covering the entire high school mathematics curriculum. Whether you need to revise key topics, explore seminar-level problems, or delve into some foundational university material, this app has everything you need.
The Math4Student Easy app uses a collection of 2,000 quick mental math questions. Perfect for practicing on the go, it’s ideal for those moments when you don’t have paper and pencil to hand—whether on a train, bus, or relaxing on a park bench.
Get started and make math practice part of your daily routine, wherever you are!

Teacher
Textbooks, workbooks, and educational websites are full of practice problems. But are they always right fit for you? Students in electrical engineering, economics, or grammar schools all have different needs when it comes to the scope and type of exercises. Every school and class is unique. Why not choose from a database of 6,000 problems to find exactly what suits your class? Whether it’s a few mental math exercises for a warm-up, some problems to test understanding of a topic, or a comprehensive set for homework or a final exam, this tool has you covered.
This application is designed for quickly creating customised tests, interactive PDFs, or HTML-based assessments. You no longer need to invent new problems, draw complex diagrams, or typeset tests in an editor. Simply select ready-made questions, click a button, and your test is ready - with high quality diagrams and with perfect math typesetting.
What you can create out of selected questions:
- Tests or homework for use with the Test4U student app
- Printable PDF tests ready for distribution
- Interactive PDF tests for use on a projector or interactive whiteboard
- Games and competitions accessible for students through the Game4U app
One standout feature is the ability to view your students’ results immediately. Students open your test in the Test4U app, solve it, and their results are instantly sent to your account. This makes teaching engaging for both students and teachers. After covering each topic, you can quickly test students’ understanding in just a few minutes using their mobile phones. As the teacher, you can select questions tailored to your class. The instant feedback shows where to focus next or what needs further clarification. This allows you to adapt your teaching to the current knowledge and needs of your students. In turn, students help you identify the areas requiring the most attention, and by focusing on what matters most, you increase the efficiency of the entire learning process.
And whats more? For every test, you can automatically generate two versions (Variants A and B). These versions contain similar problems but with different values or slight modifications.
Tests can also be created in any of the available languages. If you have exchange students in your class, you can prepare tests in English, Spanish, or other languages to accommodate their needs.
All your created tests and assessments are stored in your account, allowing you to modify or expand them at any time.
CLASS
In the Class section, you’ll find two applications available - Test4U and Game4U. Both are designed to be used only in collaboration with a teacher.
Here’s how it works:
A teacher creates a test or game for the class in the Teacher section and generates an access code. Students can then open the test or game in the respective apps by entering the code. The results are sent back to the teacher, as explained in the Teacher section.
Training Games
In this section, you'll find the "Training Games" app with 300 ready-to-play games of various types – Pairs, Matching Games, Find All, and Slot Machine. The goal is to find correct pairs (e.g., a function and its equation, the measure of an angle in degrees and radians), triplets, or all objects that satisfy a given property. The app is fully functional on computers, tablets, and smartphones.
Training Games are particularly useful for students who need to strengthen their basic knowledge by working through a larger number of likewise focused examples and questions.
Additionally, you'll find interactive PDF games here, which can be used even without an internet connection. Teachers can launch these games on an interactive whiteboard, and students can select the correct answers. Upon completion, instant feedback is provided, including entertaining comments and illustrations. For matching games in PDF format, you can also look forward to puzzles and biographies of renowned mathematicians.
Students can use these games to practice at home, while teachers can incorporate them into lessons for quick revision of covered material, to enliven teaching, or for competitions.
Application-based Examples
How will this help me? Where will I use it? These are common and entirely valid questions from students, but the answers aren’t always simple. Mathematics is all around us, it underpins the design of every device, the computers we use, and the internet we rely on daily. It is crucial in banking, finance, and economics, where accurate calculations are indispensable. While much of this involves advanced mathematics beyond high school level, incorporating it into classroom teaching can be a challenge.
In this section, you will find 50 examples showcasing how high school mathematics is applied in real-world contexts - in physics, chemistry, biology, insurance, finance, and even navigation. You will see how real-world problems are expressed in mathematical terms, solved, and then interpreted back into their original context.
Inquisitive students can explore these examples independently, while teachers can use them to introduce new topics or inspire discussions.
